Today there is an an epidemic of food allergies, 100 years ago they were almost unheard of whilst today 1 out of 10 children have some form of food allergy
Babies with eczema or dry skin are at a higher risk of developing food allergies
A Random Control Trial of 640 babies found that by the age of 5 years, there was an 85% reduction of risk in the group that actively consumer peanuts!
Babies should be introduced to common food allergens as early as possible from at least 6 months old in sufficient quantities, including peanuts, eggs, milk, wheat and sesame.
Our gut, skin and nasal respiratory tract microbiome is likely to play a critical role in supporting our immunological tolerance.
